Join OCT for a week of fun for 60 campers ages 6-17 learning and presenting this favorite classic with costumes, lights, and music, directed by 2 of Missoula's Traveling Directors. Campers will audition the first day of camp and spend the week learning the show to be performed twice on Friday, June 28, 2024. Space is limited to 60 campers (with 16 spaces reserved for children 6-8 years old).

About Missoula Children's Theatre Tour
A tour team arrives in a given town in their “little red truck” loaded with a set, lights, costumes, props, and make-up, everything it takes to put on a play…except the cast. The show is rehearsed throughout the week and two public performances are presented at the end of the week. MCT will offer the campers the opportunity to work with (2) professional actors/ directors and will engage in acting, singing, & choreography daily from 9:00 am-5:00 pm while also participating in several exciting workshops.
At the end of camp, campers will perform the full show for live audiences!
Research has proven that live theatre builds social and communication skills through role-playing and improvisational interaction. Live theatre also builds children's confidence and self-esteem, enabling them to step out of their comfort zones. Participating in theatre prepares children for life experiences by helping them to be more confident with school presentations and leadership opportunities.
